Lee Coker, Writer and Editor

Lee is pursuing concentrations in sustainable enterprise and entrepreneurship at UNC Kenan-Flagler.  He relocated to Chapel Hill from the Bay Area where he worked as an environmental educator in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area just north of the Golden Gate Bridge.  During his time in the Bay Area, he became increasingly interested in leveraging his sustainability background with finance, which led to a consulting project with HIP Investor where he helped create a S&P 100 index weighted for sustainability.  He has an extensive background in educating and training youth in environmental and social issues with work experience in Alabama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ecuador, and California.  Lee manages his own small, TBL portfolio and has a passion for following the markets, especially the clean tech sector.

Lee was also an organizer for the Sustainable Venture Capital Investment Competition for 2010 at UNC, is currently coordinator for the Leadership Coaching program at Kenan-Flagler, and will be taking the lead on next year's Careers in Sustainability Forum.  Lee will be working in the sustainability department at Walmart for his summer internship.
